Academic Partnerships

Sacred Heart University and UConn have each entered into a mutually cooperative relationships with Notre Dame High School in order to use their collegiate educational resources in the service of the larger community; to strengthen their ties to each other; and to give the youth of the region an added incentive to successfully complete high school and to go to college by challenging them with college level course work while they are still in high school.

UConn and SHU have reviewed our curriculum and selected several advanced courses appropriate for college bound students. Juniors and seniors are eligible to participate in this program. Students who are registered at SHU and/or UConn and pay a registration fee per course (college credit selection varies by institution).

Students receive a transcript from SHU and/or UConn giving college credit for their course(s). They may also present this transcript to other colleges for possible transfer credit.

Acceptance of the credit is naturally the decision of the particular college.
