Boys’ Basketball at Notre Dame Prep is a program defined by tradition, excellence, and a sustained commitment to competing at the highest level. Under the leadership of head coach Brian Kritcher, the Lancers have built a remarkable record of success, including 11 Southwest Conference Championships since 2011 and five state championship game appearances. The program’s recent success has also produced eight All-State players over the past six years, reflecting the talent and dedication of Notre Dame student-athletes.

More than the wins and championships, Notre Dame Boys’ Basketball is committed to developing players who understand the value of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and competing for something bigger than themselves. Our student-athletes take pride in carrying forward a tradition that spans generations while creating their own legacy as Lancers. From the practice gym to game night, the program challenges players to work hard, support one another, and represent Notre Dame Prep with pride.

Girls' Basketball

Girls’ Basketball at Notre Dame Prep is a program built on teamwork, determination, and a commitment to excellence. Under the leadership of coach Keishaun Macklin, the Lancers continue to build a strong basketball tradition while developing student-athletes both on and off the court. The program’s recent success includes winning the 2026 Southwest Conference Championship, a reflection of the talent, hard work, and dedication of our players.

Notre Dame girls’ basketball challenges student-athletes to compete with purpose while embracing the values of discipline, perseverance, sportsmanship, and support for one another. Through practices and competition, players grow not only as athletes but as teammates and leaders, taking pride in representing Notre Dame Prep and contributing to the continued growth of the program.

Indoor Track at Notre Dame Prep provides student-athletes with an opportunity to challenge themselves, develop their skills, and compete as part of a dedicated team. The program emphasizes hard work, discipline, and personal growth while creating a supportive environment where runners can set goals and strive to improve throughout the season.

Whether competing in sprints, distance events, jumps, or other disciplines, Notre Dame’s indoor track athletes learn the value of preparation, perseverance, and teamwork. The winter season provides a strong foundation for continued growth and success while giving student-athletes the opportunity to represent the Lancers with pride.

Boys' Ice Hockey

Boys’ Hockey at Notre Dame Prep has a long and proud tradition of excellence, with generations of student-athletes representing the Lancers at a high level. Under the leadership of coach Paul Mastrony, the program continues that tradition while competing at the Division 2 level. Notre Dame has produced an impressive 30 All-State selections since 1989, including multiple honorees who earned All-State recognition in consecutive seasons.

Today, Notre Dame Prep Hockey combines that rich history with the opportunity to compete in outstanding facilities. The team practices at Wonderland of Ice and plays its home games at Sacred Heart University’s Martire Family Arena, giving our student-athletes a first-class setting in which to develop their skills and compete. Through hard work, teamwork, discipline, and a commitment to excellence, Notre Dame hockey players carry forward a tradition that has been an important part of the Lancer experience for decades.

Cheer

Cheerleading at Notre Dame Prep brings energy, school spirit, and teamwork to the heart of the Lancer experience. Led by coach Nicole D’Angelo, our cheerleaders support Notre Dame teams at football and basketball games while also challenging themselves through competitive cheerleading. The program gives students the opportunity to develop athletic skills, confidence, discipline, and leadership while building connections with teammates and helping create an exciting atmosphere throughout the school community.

Whether cheering from the sidelines or competing on the mat, Notre Dame cheerleaders represent their school with enthusiasm and pride. Through dedication, preparation, and teamwork, they play an important role in bringing the Lancer community together and making game days a memorable part of the Notre Dame experience.

Bowling

Bowling at Notre Dame Prep gives student-athletes the opportunity to compete, develop their skills, and build camaraderie as part of a team. Our co-ed program includes both varsity and junior varsity teams, providing opportunities for bowlers of different experience levels to compete and grow. The team practices at Sacred Heart University and competes in the Connecticut Independent Bowling League (CIBL) at Nutmeg Lanes in Fairfield.

Throughout the season, Notre Dame bowlers challenge themselves to improve with every match while supporting their teammates and representing the Lancers with pride. Through competition and practice, student-athletes develop patience, confidence, focus, and perseverance—qualities that make bowling a rewarding part of the Notre Dame athletic experience.

Boys’ and Girls’ Wrestling at Notre Dame Prep is a program built on determination, discipline, and perseverance. The sport challenges student-athletes both physically and mentally, requiring them to set goals, push through adversity, and continually work to improve. As members of the Lancer community, our wrestlers learn the importance of preparation, resilience, sportsmanship, and supporting their teammates.

Whether stepping onto the mat for the first time or competing at a high level, Notre Dame wrestlers are encouraged to embrace the challenges of the sport and take pride in their individual and team accomplishments. Through hard work and commitment, the program helps student-athletes grow in confidence and character while representing Notre Dame Prep with pride.
