The Notre Dame Community Association (Parents, Faculty, Staff and Friends of Notre Dame) works toward building a community within our school. Our mission is to produce events which will build community spirit and raise funds to supplement the budget of Notre Dame. Through faith, knowledge, and service, the event chairs and committees will foster a sense of community through the involvement of parents, students, faculty, friends and local businesses. We will strive to do this with Christian values of charity and respect for our fellow volunteers. We are always looking for creative and energetic parents to work on committees. It a great way to meet new parents and be involved in our wonderful community.
Baking Committee - Please help us throughout the year by baking for various school functions. If you would like to be put on the baking committee call/email list, please forward your information to marzik@notredame.org.
Bob Shea Memorial Golf Tournament - We are looking for volunteers to help plan this event, solicit gifts and work on the Golf Tournament Committee to be held in September 2011. Please contact our Advancement Office at marzik@notredame.org
Annual Raffle - Help is needed from January through April with counting and recording raffle returns.
9th Annual Cabaret/Auction - This is Notre Dame's BIGGEST fundraiser and social event of the year. This year's event will be held on Saturday, March 26th. The night includes a cabaret show featuring our very own parents, faculty & staff, alumni and friends of ND. The night also includes a silent and live auction with over 200 gifts ranging from sport tickets to vacation homes to restaurant gift certificates, etc. Volunteering for this event is a great way to help ND, meet other parents and just have a good time. Please contact the Advancement Office if you have any questions or want to volunteer.
Spring Musical 2010 - This year's spring musical will take place on May 6 and 7, 2011 at Sacred Heart University. We are looking for parents and friends who can help us build sets, sew costumes, help with publicity,etc. This is a great project to volunteer for because much of the volunteering can be done from home. Our students do a wonderful job and put on a top-notch performance but they need your help!! Please consider helping out.
Help Us to Help You...We're all in this together. Many times throughout the year we are looking for people with special talents and resources. Do you own a business, a liquor store, restaurant, catering facility? Do you have a special talent or hobby -- a baker, arts and crafts, etc.? Are you a carpenter, plumber or electrician? Please let us know by contacting the Advancement Office. Let's work together to help each other.
