Campus Ministry sponsored the annual Freshman Class Retreat on Friday. Students reflected on the theme of Faith Survival Skills (making time for silence, reflection, staying healthy physically, being a friend, participating in the sacraments, prayer, actually caring, volunteering, knowing when to ask for help, embracing your inner child, appreciation, forgiveness, being open to change and growth, and respect for yourself). Students participated in a teaching mass with Father Peter Cipriani and listened to a talk on guardian angels. They also performed acts of service including making lunch for Operation Hope (seen below) and Halloween cards for area nursing homes, played games (seen above), reflected in groups with upperclassmen leaders, ate food, and watched a movie. It was an excellent day of community building, faith sharing, and fun.
