FATHER BILL SANGIOVANNI ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

 Father Bill Sangiovanni, Principal of Notre Dame Catholic High School, has appointed V.J. Sarullo as Athletic Director. Sarullo will replace Jeff Bevino effective July 1.

Sarullo graduated from Notre Dame of West Haven in 1997 and went on to pursue his BS in history/education from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. After three years in business, he was hired as a history teacher at Notre Dame Catholic High School in January 2005.

Sarullo has been involved in athletics his whole life. He has been actively involved in the Milford Little League and Babe Ruth programs for over a decade as coach, umpire and most recently on the Little League board of directors. He has also been involved with the Milford Indians High School Hockey program for the past seven years and has been a high school baseball coach since 2002.

Father Bill Sangiovanni says, “I am excited about the prospects of VJ Sarullo continuing in the fine tradition of Jeff Bevino. I am sure that Notre Dame athletics will continue to maintain the outstanding quality that it presently has.”

Sarullo hopes to build on the athletic foundation that has been built at the school over the years. “My goal is to build on the success that the Notre Dame athletic program has had over the years. We need to not only maintain the high level program that Jeff Bevino has established here, but also make new strides and take advantage of all the opportunities that we have.”


NOTRE DAME –FAIRFIELD NAMES KERRI ROWLAND HEAD GIRLS
HOCKEY COACH

Fairfield, CT - March 30, 2005 - Principal Fr. Bill Sangiovanni and AD Jeff Bevino are very pleased to announce that Kerri Rowland has been named the Head Girls Hockey Coach at the school. Kerri was the Assistant Varsity Coach of the women’s ice hockey team at Sacred Heart University for the past two seasons.

Kerri played her high school hockey at the Taft School in Watertown, CT and collegiately at Boston College where she was the captain during her junior and senior years.

“ We are very pleased to have Kerri to begin our girls hockey program”, “Her enthusiasm for the game, knowledge, and experience were a major factor that contributed in naming her our head coach. “ We are extremely excited about the future of Notre Dame girls hockey, she will be a tremendous asset to our school and our athletic programs” said AD Jeff Bevino.
