Fr. Peter Cipriani Community Service Form (Inside) Community Service Form (Outside) Mr. Josh St. Onge

The Notre Dame Campus Ministry is an active part of the ND community.

Mass is held daily at 7:10 a.m. in the ND Chapel, with the school Chaplain, Fr. Peter Cipriani. All are welcome. The Notre Dame Campus Ministry sponsors many events throughout the year. The involvement of the student body is integral to our success.

There are many opportunities for involvement. If you are a student at Notre Dame and want to get involved in Campus Ministry, simply contact Fr. Peter Cipriani or Mr. Josh St. Onge.

Service Hours

Notre Dame's service requirement exists to remind students of the philosophy in the school's mission statement to "encourage personal growth and responsibility, sound values, and service to others." In addition, our school motto is to "Be Imitators of Christ." Jesus Christ, more than anyone else in history, led by example and showed us just how important it was to serve one another. Although it is imperative to be kind to others by encouraging and affirming one another out loud, we all know that actions speak louder than words. This is the very reason that St. Francsi of Assisi said, "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words." We hope to instill in our entire community the desire to perform this deeply significant task with empathy, enthusiasm, and passion.

As part of the religion curriculum, students in grades ten, eleven and twelve are required to complete a minimum of fifteen hours of community service each year. Students in grade nine complete a community service project as a class plus five additional hours. Documentation of service hours is due by the end of the third marking. The completion of these hours is a requirement for graduation or promotion to the next grade. Service hours "count" from the previous June through the present. They should be done outside of a private residence and should not include anything done during a liturgy (altar serving, lecturing, etc).
