The Notre Dame school seal consists of a large shield in the center, which harbors the crests of three distinct organizations. The shield is encircled by a dark blue border in which Notre Dame Catholic High School is spelled out in large letters. "Be Imitators of Christ," the words of St. Paul, are contained on a banner which engulfs the lower section of the shield

In its upper left hand corner are two anchors, symbols of hope, with a cross whose rays protrude through these anchors. This is the emblem of the Congregation of the Holy Cross. The small shield in the upper right hand corner has a golden crown on its peak and contains three dark blue stars and the letters N.D. This shield represents the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The Holy Cross Fathers and the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur were the religious orders which founded Notre Dame Catholic High School in 1956.

Between the two religious emblems is a peak and under it is a gray stone bridge bearing a cross. The bridge itself spans a sea of blue. This is the shield of the Diocese of Bridgeport.
