Whether running in the 100, throwing the javelin, discus or shot put, or competing in the long jump, the boys' and girls' track and field teams competed weekly against their Southwest Conference opponents. Seeking to qualify for the state meet, the Lancers worked hard to improved their times and distances all throughout the spring season. On the boys' side, junior Kevin Tirella posted solid results in the shot put and sophomore AJ Gallucci threw the discus far enough to win league competitions. On the women's side, the team was led by runners Irene Boyle and Lindsey Russo. Russo posted regular first place finishes in the 800 meters, 1600 meters, and the 3200 meters.
