The N.D. track and field program continued to march forward in 2007 with increased participation and continued success. Several athletes on both sides of the program found success in weekly competitions and ultimately qualified for the SWC championship meet. On the boys' side, junior Thaddeus Bennett qualified for the 100 and 200 meter dash. In the 100, Thaddeus finished in third place, earning points towards the team's overall total. In the 200 meter, he finished a little over one second behind the leader, placing eighth. Senior Damon Meekins finished ninth in the 400 meter dash and the 4 x 100 meter relay team of Bennett, Meekins, Greg Wigfall and Drew Camputaro placed fifth, earning additional points for the Lancer team. Also qualifying for the championship meet was the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Meekins, Tommy King, Ian Moye, and Edwin Tirado and freshman Kevin Tirella in the javelin. Overall, the N.D. boys' team earned eight points for an eleventh place SWC finish.
