ND SOCCER
Peter Cofrancesco, Head Coach, Girls
Expectations were certainly high as the girls' soccer team took to the field in early September. Some observers were even speculating that N.D. could make its first post-season appearance in the program's history. Unfortunately, expectations were not met for the Lancers as a slew of injuries left some of N.D. leading players on the sidelines. The season did get off on a positive note with a 3-0 victory over Stratford but a pair of 1-0 shut out losses in the second and third games of the season gave the Lancers worry. It then took the team until the tenth game of the season to put their second win in the record book, with a tie to Stratford in between. With a lack of offense and a series of games where the Lancers were shut out or scored a single goal, wins were hard to mount, and hopes of achieving a post-season berth faded. With a final record of 2-13-1, Coach Cofrancesco's team will look to regroup next season and hope that injuries don't hurt the Lancers as much as they did in 2007. Senior Krystal Quinones received All Conference - Second Team honors and sophomore Kelly Conniff garnered Honorable Mention from league coaches.
