Often times, an indoor track athlete will spend hours waiting for their event. This time is often spent mentally preparing for the race and cheering on their teammates competing in other events. The 2007-08 indoor track team, under the leadership of first year coach Ed Berberich, had over two dozen athletes who competed in a variety of events. Several members of the team had great success during the season including Thaddeus Bennett who qualified for Nationals held in New York City on March 14 in the 55 meter dash. Despite not winning this event, the experience was certainly a once-in-a-lifetime event for Thaddeus, who was recognized by SWC coaches for his athletic talents and placed on the SWC All Conference First Team.
