Talk about a successful season. The girls' cross country team had one of their best seasons in the program's history - and posted a final record of 7 - 7 for first year head coach Ed Berberich. While adding three more wins to last season's total, the team also placed 9th in the Class SS championship (out of 22 teams and up from 16th in 2006). In the SWC championship race, N.D. finished 11th out of 15 teams. Sophomore Lindsey Russo earned 2nd Team All SWC honors by placing 24th at the SWC championship race. In the words of Coach Berberich, "the girls improved drastically across the board from last year and were helped tremendously by our incoming freshmen Sarah Rechtiene and Monique Plummer, both of whom raced as varsity runners all season." Overall, the N.D. lady runners had a great fall season and hopes are high that 2008 will yield similar results.
