Despite having a relatively small team compared to other SWC schools, the N.D. boys' cross country team took to the roads and hills around Fairfield, Bridgeport and Trumbull and began conditioning for their 2007 fall campaign in late August. Those hot summer and warm early autumn days proved tough at times, but the team admits the hard work was worth it. With Mr. Sulzycki returning as coach, and several seniors guiding the team, the squad showed continuous improvement all season long. With a small team, it proved difficult to beat some of the larger and more experienced competition, yet N.D. posted two wins on the season - defeating Oxford and Stratford High Schools. The team was led by seniors Ian Moye, Jake Scholz and Joe Bauco. At the SWC championship meet at Bethel, Scholz (who also won the regular season meet at Oxford) placed first among Lancer runners and the team, as a whole, finished in twelfth place.
