To all Parents and Student-Athletes:

Welcome to the Notre Dame Catholic High School athletics web page. Here, you will be able to find all team schedules, links to our athletic organizations, athletic department forms, a brief look at our rich athletic tradition and more.

Notre Dame currently offers students the opportunity to play twenty three sports in the fall, winter and spring seasons. Altogether, Notre Dame has forty athletic teams at the varsity, junior varsity and freshman levels. We are proud that over eighty percent of our student body participates in at least one sport. We are a member of the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference, which is the statewide organization that oversees high school athletics. We also belong to the Southwest Conference, which is one of the most competitive in the state.

Our coaches are second to none in their preparation and dedication in providing disciplined, spirited and competitive programs. 2007-2008 saw us continue our excellence in athletics. Some examples are:

  • Boy’s Basketball achieving an outstanding 17-6 record
  • Girl’s Basketball reaching at least the Final 8 of the state tournament for the 6 th consecutive season
  • Boy’s Ice Hockey going to the State Finals for the 3 rd consecutive season
  • Baseball winning the Patriot Division of the Southwest Conference
  • Candace Williams winning the SWC Girls Shot Put competition for the 3 rd consecutive year and signing a letter of intent to attend UCONN for track

2007-2008 also saw us continue with our athletic facility upgrade plan. In addition to our new field on Park Avenue and our newly re-sodded football field, we completely renovated our baseball field to make it one of the nicest playing surfaces in the area. Also, through our partnership with Sacred Heart University, our student-athletes have the opportunity to use NCAA Division I caliber facilities. Finally, the summer of 2008 will see our gymnasium undergo a complete renovation to make it one of the most state of the art facilities in the state.

I would like to thank all of you for your support of Notre Dame athletics. It is through your efforts that we continue to have one of the premier athletic programs in the state, and we hope to continue this progress in the future.

I look forward to working with everyone again this year.
