Computer Facilities
Notre Dame has three state-of-the-art computer laboratories as well
as a library/media center each with nearly forty computers. Computer
facilities are constantly updated and replaced in order for students
to be exposed to the best technology and equipment. Print servers
using Hewlett Packard LaserJet and Minolta color printers are available
in each lab.
Each student is assigned an e-mail account and has access to the
Internet. Students may access files and their e-mail accounts from
home using web access and may also write their own web page on the
school site. Computer rooms, as well as the library/media center,
are available for student use daily and students are encouraged
to utilize these facilities for research.
Each classroom now has a computer connected to the Internet which
pushes the total number of computers in the building to nearly 200.
All computers are connected to a Novell Network using four servers.
Firewalls and Cyber Patrol Internal Filtering are provided as a
safety factor. Our network is so advanced that it surpasses ones
which are available on many college campuses!
Juniors and seniors can use the MyRoad college searching program.
The College Board designed this updated program which has information
on college academics, admissions, athletics, student life and activities.
Students can search colleges and universities by major, size, location,
etc.
